Images from a marriage
The jewelry, carefully selected for the occasion, the fine make ups, the details of the suits, the manicure of the ladies, the infinite shades of colors of dresses and matched accessorizes, the smiles, the glances, the curiosity waiting for the bride, the tenderness, the emotions and the expressions on the faces of the participants during the ceremony, the explosion of joy when the married couple exit the church … an unlimited universe of details for the benefit of the lens of the camera.
I have always loved people photography. The presence of a person within the picture contributes since ever to instantly and deeply attract my attention.
Weddings, as the world of events in general, offer an exciting and variegated richness of details and portraits of who is there, that day, ready for the celebration of a very special day.
Understanding the bride’s and bridegroom’s expectations, what shots are in harmony with their cords and with the idea of the day they have in mind, breathing the mood of the party are key aspects to set the basis for a fluent and focused working flow.
An informal evening prior to the even for old friends and relatives to get together facilitates an intimate and familiar atmosphere, which the photographer can move naturally and confidently in, to pick those details – the gesture of a hand, the light of a smile, a hold back breathe, the spontaneity of an embrace – that tell the intensity of a unique and unforgettable day.
Being able to merge with the participants, creating an empathic relationship with them, looking at them and step by step getting to know them allow the eye of the photographer to catch hidden and unique perspectives, precious ingredients to transfer through the images the emotions of a special moment.
Enjoying the party not as a supplier but as part of the people who come together to celebrate the event is the attitude that allow to establish confidence and to shorten distances, to move among the participants spontaneously looking for unexpected shades and moments that won’t happen again.
Living the event as insider gives that presence able to gift each image with strength and intense emotion.
